<p>I have looked at this data before and it is interesting and useful. The only caveat is that you have to take into account the size of the school and whether it has an urban campus.</p>

<p>I agree. Its a useful tool as a defense against people who try to paint the wrong picture about schools, as much as it is a useful tool for those concerned about safety at XYZ University. And there are some surprising stats for schools that many consider "pretty and safe."</p>
