Rank: Top 10%
Courseload: most challenging
4 APs this year.
SAT: 580 CR, 690 M, 680 W (I know they are bad :/ They will go up when I take it again in Dec, I hope....)
SAT IIs: 720 math II 700 Chem (taking it again in Jan)</p>

<p>Essays: I am not sure if it's ''great'', but so far 10 out of 11 people said my essay was emotionally touching
REC: Very positive (not sure if ''great''
EC:school's orchestra. (Violin section leader sophomore yr, assistant section leader Senior year)
- took a piano examination that was held by the Associated Board of Royal school of Music.and received a Merit on it.
- took a violin examination that was held by NYSSMA.and i received an excellent rating on it.
- played at a recital that was held at Hunter College.and received a Gold Prize.
- participated in the chemistry olympiad
- a member of a city astronomy club
- a school's newspaper writer who write articles about Astronomy.
- International Club (I am just a member, but my GC said I am very active in activities like fundraising or food fair on my recommendation letter, don't know if that helps O_o)</p>

<p>Community service:
- volunteer at a kindergarten every summer.(except for sophomore year 's summer)</p>

<p>Job: Tutor for children.</p>

<p>Cornell,JHU, and NYU are reaches though if your essays are really good like you say, it may be likely that your application will be pushed into the admit pile :-). Everywhere else I think you are in :-). <p>U have to increase your SAT 1 math scores and SAT 2 scores…if you can do that then you are in.</p>

<p>math and SAT IIs? up to what? (750+ right?) How about reading? I’m quite sure that my reading score is very low for the first 5 schools on my list…</p>

<p>Test scores… well, you know. Your SAT II’s actually aren’t so bad. Retaking them for Cornell would probably be beneficial, but probably not necessary.</p>

U of Southern California - Mid/Low Reach
Boston College - Low Reach/High Match
SUNY Binghamton and Stony Brook - Low Reach/High Match (they’re getting very selective of late)
Boston University - Match
Georgia Tech - Match…y
RPI - Match
CUNY Macaulay Honors - Low Reach (underrated on CC, but as someone who has some experience with Macaulay, it’s a tough place to get in. You do have a shot though.)</p>
