<p>college is better in every single way.</p>

<li>more independent</li>
<li>you are in control of your own education (study when you want, go to class when you want, select your classes when you want them)</li>
<li>i also found college classes easier.</li>

should i consider dorming my 2nd year?
i decided not to dorm my 1st year
cause i live pretty close 20 min away
i’m afraid i won’t make any friends :(</p>
<p>consider dorming if you feel you want to be independent.</p>
<p>it’s a lot cheaper for housing after your first year.</p>
<p>try to make friends through classes or clubs or something, but I won’t lie, it’s pretty hard to make friends as a commuter though I do know a few commuters that come to my hall at least every other day to study/hang out.</p>

<p>they go apartments and on campus housing (apartment-like, unless you want to do AV, which is more dorm-like)</p>

<p>Freshwater, I am in the same exact position as you are. My parents let me decide, but they preferred that I stay home. Now they want me to dorm, but it is too late, so they told me to dorm either second quarter (not sure if that is even possible) or my second year. :(</p>
