I have an overall GPA of 3.5 and I am currently a junior with a degree in biochemistry. I wanted to reach out to anyone who is currently in pharmacy school - either in an accelerated program or admitted to a regular 4-year program. I’m wondering what your GPA looked like when you were admitted.
I have received A’s in nearly every class that wasn’t part of my major. In the sciences (biology, chemistry, physics); however, I receive some A’s, but mostly B’s. They are high B’s, but what I am wondering I guess is… should this discourage me? The sciences and the medical field have always been what I wanted and I do not plan on changing my major. I am very dedicated. I just don’t know … as competitive as school are nowadays … if this will be enough. Is mainly B’s lousy???
I’m sure I have plenty of extracurricular fluff to make my application look great. I have not taken the PCAT yet.
