Seeking Advice on Admissions- especially with Penn State University

<p>Hello,
I am looking into getting into Penn State University Park. I'm going into my 11th year of high school and need advice. Thank you all so much in advance!! =)
Also, my stats and so forth are the following: </p>

<p>9th:</p>

<p>Algebra 1
Biology
Honours British Literature
Latin 2 (Took Latin 1 in 8th, which counts towards my language credit)
Old Testament
Debate
World History </p>

<p>10th</p>

<p>Algebra 2
Chemistry
Honours American Literature
AP Psychology
New Testament
Logic
AP U.S. History</p>

<p>11th
Geometry<br>
AP (or honours) American Government/Economics<br>
Critical Thinking<br>

AP English Language/ Composition<br>
Art </p>

<p>G.P.A: most likely a 3.85 or 3.9 based on my current grade trend
SAT (I took it this May): Critical Reading: 640, Writing: 560, and Math: 430. I know math is low, I will be retaking it =) The Geometry on it gave me issues seeing as I haven't taken it yet. I estimate I can make roughly a 530 min. on math when I take it again. I also plan to try to bring my Writing grade up.</p>

<p>EC's: Dance, Art Studios, Debate Club (co-founded), Book Club (founded), and Writing Class. I am also working on publishing works I have written. =)</p>

<p>Summers: I have also done volunteer work at my local hospital and bookstore as well as hope to do a summer program at a Cancer Laboratory next summer. In addition to, I went on an educational tour to England last summer.</p>

<p>I plan on majoring in Biomedical if I get in =)</p>

<p>Also, in note to my school, its a private school, so very little honours or APs. I will have taken all APs/honours available to me in addition to AP Bio and AP Euro at other sources. </p>

<p>As well as a side note, I am dyslexic, if that influences anything either way. This is also why I did not attempt taking another language as it was extremely difficult for me...</p>

<p>I’m going to be working on the SAT. I may take the ACT, since it seems to be more geared to my style of learning and whatnot :slight_smile: My main concern is my ECs. My school, unfortunately, offers none…
