<p>gaia! I'm also deciding between uc's and Brandeis for premed. UCI and UCSD in particular. I'm about.. 85% sure I'm going to choose Brandeis though. I really dislike how big the UC's are and how non-representative of the nation as a whole they are.</p>

<p>Brandeis is heavily Jewish. It isn't properly representative of the US as a whole either. Pick your over represented minority: Asians or Jews. At Penn (and my k-12) I have a lot of both, so don't call me a racist!</p>

<p>I won't deny that Brandeis premed is difficult, but my point is that the students exaggerate how difficult it is.</p>
<p>I see your point ven, but the UC's are almost all around 45% Asian. On the other hand, being Jewish doesn't confine you to a specific race.</p>
<p>In any case, I'd choose to be a part of the minority at Brandeis rather than part of the majority at a UC. (Asians!) :)</p>
