Seeking Interviews for Admissions Documentary

Hello,

I am a filmmaker creating an educational documentary on online interaction between prospective students in the college admissions process.  The film is sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania’s University Scholars research program, where I am a rising junior.  The film will be released next year, and we have received permission from College Confidential to post this.  The film includes interviews with senior counselor Dean Sally Rubenstone and cofounder Dave Berry of College Confidential, and with Deans of Admission from around the country.

We are conducting on-camera interviews with student users of College Confidential who have gone, or are going through, the admissions process.  We are looking for students in the U.S. and around the world.  If you are available at one of the locations below where we will be filming on specific dates, and are interested in being interviewed for the documentary, please respond to this thread and we will be in touch via PM.  Thank you very much.

Thanks for your interest. We will be filming in the Washington, DC area, so Maryland is possible as well. We’ll PM you to set up a specific time.

I live in Central Maryland as well, but I’d love to help out! PM me the details for the Washington D.C. event! I am currently going through the admissions process, if that does any help for the documentary. Best of luck with the project!

Thanks for the interest. We’ll be back and forth between DC, Philadelphia, and New York for most of August - October. Students that are going through the admissions process right now are great as well – we want to get a variety of perspectives.

I live in Paris but am in vacations in the south(Nicr() right now. If you need someone, I could catch a train though. I’m a rising senior in a french HS, starting my US application process.

Most respondents here are relatively new posters with low post counts. Might give a limited perspective.
