<p>There are 1000+ DIII programs ... I would suggest doing a traditional college search focused on academics and location (region, size, city/rural) and that initial search should yleld some interesting candidates (and athletic conferences) to check out. Then I'd suggest going to those schools websites and contacting the track coaches .. if your child was thinking about DI almost all DIII programs will be very happy to hear from your family!. I would also suggest checking out ... <a href="http://www.ncaa.org%5B/url%5D">www.ncaa.org</a> ... to understand the rules of DIII recruiting. PS - a lot of DIII programs do not do a lot of proactive recruiting byond their immediate georaphic area (people and budget limitations) ... but will become very interested and active when they become aware of good candidates.</p>
