Seeking transfer advice/Chance me

I had lousy grades and eventually dropped out of H.S. my senior year due to health problems. I took the GED and I just now finished my first year of college. I'm looking to transfer from SUNY at Buffalo into a solid school (preferably Northeast) to study Biology or a similar major with the intention of applying to medical school. Ideally I would transfer into either CALS/Human Ecology (state aid) at Cornell.

--------------Stats:---------

GED:
3710/4000 (I guess that's good? I'm not expecting people to know)

Semester 1(cross-registered):
CC - 12 HRS @ 4.0GPA
University at Buffalo - 5 HRS @ 3.67GPA

**
Semester 2:**
UB - 13 HRS @ 3.772GPA

Overall UB GPA = 3.743 (18 HRS)
**
Overall undergrad GPA** = 3.84 (30 HRS)

ECs: not much at all - used to do karate and kickboxing, worked 5 hrs a week this year at my university library, and I do legal research and proofreading for my dad's law practice

-I'm not sure what I should do this summer to help my ECs

Questions
1) Chances at Cornell? (and fall vs spring)
2) Advice?
3) Criticisms? (I can handle it)
4) Other schools to consider?

Thanks in advance and sorry this is long!

i shouldn't have posted this at 5am

Try hard to have A/A-s in your core prereqs: Gen Bio, Gen Chem, Calc, O-chem, Academic Writing. (You're going to need to take O-chem for CALS bio since you won't be applying to Cornell as a rising sophomore)

I've gotten A/A- in all my prereqs so far but I still have to take O-chem and writing

any idea what GPAs the transfers to Cornell have?

I got accepted by CALS bio science with a 3.94 from a LAC. Another poster on this site also got into CALS bio with a 4.0 from a cc.

The official gpa cut-off is 3.5, meaning they won't even take your application unless your gpa is >3.5

I don't know much about HumEc's policies

5 hrs a week is next to nothing and working for your dad only shows your ability to have a job handed to you
