I also forgot to mention that he not only made it to state
But won 2nd prize in Econ in state first in interview and Math at his level and was state level tennis varsity player in junior year. That and a wonderful girlfriend were some of the distractions from schoolwork as a whole. Looking back I think now the distractions were worth the somewhat lower GPA.
