Our friends gave us a DVD to watch. The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming! Loved it.

We watched Breaking this evening, and found it very powerful. John Boyega is great- he was giving me Denzel vibes, and it was bittersweet to watch the incomparable Michael K. Williams in one of his last performances.

Watched The Nice Guys tonight. Very fun/funny movie.

will watch it tonight! looks fun.

We watched Don’t Worry Darling on Friday night. Despite the large plot holes we enjoyed the story and thought it was an interesting movie concept even if it wasn’t all explained.

Since I don’t go to movie theaters, I’m usually behind everyone in watching movies as they trickle into Netflix or Amazon Prime. I also don’t read novels, so I don’t know how successfully the novel “Where the Crawdads Sing” transitioned into the movie version. I sort of predicted how the movie would end given a very subtle hint thrown out during Kaya’s dinner conversation at a restaurant with her publisher staff. However, the movie left me begging the question. I was more surprised to learn that Taylor Swift wrote the original soundtrack for the movie in a way that hauntingly captured the mesmerizing story.

I watched the anime movie Belle on HBO Max last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very positive reviews all around; 14 minute standing ovation at Cannes last year and 95% critic and audience on Rotten Tomatoes.

I just finished “The Wonder” on Netflix.

Set in The Irish Midlands in 1862, the story follows a young girl who stops eating but remains miraculously alive and well. English nurse Lib Wright is brought to a tiny village to observe eleven-year old Anna O’Donnell.

I thought it was really well done and Florence Pugh was excellent.

Has anyone watched Meet Cute with Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson? D2 and I got together last night for take out dinner and watched it. It didn’t get very high ratings, but both D2 and I really liked the story and how it was told. It’s not a typical romantic comedy.

Had read -where the crawdads sing -a year ago- and watched the movie on Netflix last night. H and I really enjoyed it.

We saw Smile a few days ago – I thought it was pretty good.

It reminded me a lot of It Follows, and a little bit of Sinister. There are some pretty messed-up scenes/visuals.

I haven’t felt this badly for a protagonist since maybe Gladiator.

If you’re looking for a light hearted classic Robin Williams comedy film- RV the movie on Netflix was really funny. I haven’t laughed like that in a long time.

It’s not a movie, but we watched the first couple episodes of Tulsa King, and were pleasantly surprised. We plan to watch until it “jumps the shark”.

My kids wore out the DVD of RV. Definitely a family favorite.

That was a favorite movie here! I wonder if my daughter still has a dvd player; she watched this over and over.

As a kid, we saw The Russians Are Coming at the drive in theater. I was a small kid, parents had to remind me that it was a comedy… not real.

Watched on Netflix a light hearted funny (non kids) movie CHIPS (2017 ) last night. Dax Shepard really is interesting - he wrote, directed, and stared in it. I always seem to read the bios on wiki when I am interested in back grounds. He and his wife Kristen Bell have interesting bios. She had a small part in the movie.

I loved Dax in Let’s Go To Prison. Hilarious movie.

The “Show me your mean face” scene is golden.
