Seen any good movies lately?

I saw Requiem for a Dream earlier today. I really enjoyed it, but I hated the ending. Then I went to see How to Train Your Dragon with my little sister and fell in love with Toothless. All in all a good day.

Anyone else see any good movies?

I saw All the President’s Men yesterday. Excellent movie.
Also saw the African Queen a few days ago. Bogie was awesome as usual. Didn’t care too much for the story though.
As you can see, I like new movies ;)

I have never heard of any of those movies. Do you live in the United States by any chance?

No, why? But you probably haven’t heard of them because they are both ancient(1976 and 1951)

hahaha because by ‘new’ I thought you meant newly released? and I was asking because I have never heard of them. :)

I haven’t been to my local movie theater in almost one year.

I do recommend The Phantom of the Opera if you have not seen it though.

^ I doubt I could sit through that. I’ll give it a try though.

^^Is it creepy that I remember you loving that movie despite you devaluing movies (in that convo we had, don’t need to start again!!!)?

Anyways, I just saw Schindler’s List for the first time. Pretty incredible. Amazing cinematography. Great acting. Poignant, moving.

Also, I am watching This Is Spinal Tap in my Film Studies class, which is HILARIOUS!! First time as well. I have many (allegedly) great movies on my to-see list!

Have you seen An Education?

No, I’ve mentioned it in a multitude of threads. That was an intriguing conversation though.

I haven’t seen it, but I heard that The Pianist is appeasing as well.

I love An Education!

Me too! I didn’t expect the ending. I think that’s why I liked it so much. And I will definitely be adding Schlinder’s List to my list. Please disregard the pun.

I saw The Pianist too, but it was a while ago. I enjoyed it though. The main character’s nose was kind of distracting.

I saw White Chicks. Pretty good movie.

^ hahhaa it’s old but a classic. it’s kind of my guilty pleasure given the lack of depth within the dialogue.
