Awful SAT2s - I know. I think i should retake the SAT2s but my CR score is SO LOW. I would like to apply EA to most school and one ED. Im also worried that I might score lower on M and W if i take the SATs again... could that hurt? Any suggestions??

I think for early decision you can take the SATs in both october and november because they send your scores. I'm in the same situation, I need to take the SAT II's and definately the reasoning test again (my math was horrible). I'm pretty sure you can take both, even for ED.

FYI, you cannot apply anywhere EA if you apply to a school SCEA or ED.

I would focus on your SAT I scores. Many schools don't even care about SAT II scores. Many schools just take into consideration your CR and M scores, which makes your really low CR score really bad.

Don't take the Literature SAT II, that's a stupid test, it was useful back when SAT I didn't have the writing section. Only take it if your college needs another one. When you're taking the math, really consider taking the Math II exam. It covers more advanced material, but the curve is much better and you can get some simple things wrong and still get an 800. I got a 650 on my Math I, and a 760 on my Math II (with zero studying).

Yes, I suggest focusing on SAT I as stated before. If you take it again, I think most colleges superscore, right? So if you receive a lower score on M or W but higher on CR, then they count your highest scores anyway only.

Considering that what the SAT Literature subject test assesses is completely different from the SAT writing section, I wouldn't call it "stupid," though if you got a 520 on it the first time, you might find it hard to improve. If the schools you're looking at require two SAT 2's and weigh them heavily I'd recommend taking 2's; otherwise, take the 1's (and focus on CR).
