Does anyone have opinions on which one is better?

Personally, I like tercero because the area seems more calm.

Segundo:
Segundo is closer to the ARC center. On my tour, I saw a lot of people in their athletic gears going in and out of Segundo buildings. The new Segundo North buildings are really nice.

Tercero:
Tercero is closer to the engineering buildings and the cow stables. People say you can smell the cows, but I had no problem when I toured Tercero. Tercero seemed a lot more calm since it isn't located near an active part of the campus. The new Tercero buildings are also nice, pretty much as good as Segundo's new buildings.

It's all about your preference. I'm not an expert so this information may not be reliable. I may be able to answer some of your questions though, since I really don't know what information you are looking for.

I pretty much got the same impression as jas0n, but I could smell the cows from both places, though tercero is geographically closer.

That said, I would prefer Segundo, because I would rather have an area less calm. The whole town is calm.

yeah, UCD was really chill when i visited, but where did all the students go? i saw practically none when i went! is it always like that?

I went to admit day on april 14th and students were scattered. I saw a lot of bikers and people sitting in the commons. UC Davis is really active! When I toured the campus, everyone kept saying "Go to Davis!"

haha yeah same here... one girl was like "WOOOOOO DAVIS!", while at west point the first thing i heard a guy yell was "dont go heree!!!"

It was Easter weekend. Many students (including my cousin) went home to celebrate the holiday with family.

go to davis this Saturday and see what is going on...earth day...

I'm going to Picnic Day this saturday. From what I hear, it should be pretty bomb.
