<p>Since everyone is asking, I decided to look up the advantages of each Housing Area.
([UC</a> Davis Student Housing: Residence Halls](<a href=“http://www.housing.ucdavis.edu/housing/residence_halls.asp]UC”>Residence Halls | UC Davis Student Housing and Dining Services))</p>
<p>"Advantages of the Segundo Area</p>
<p>Adjacent to the Activities and Recreation Center (The ARC)
Near the Cowell Student Health Center
Close proximity to the Recreation Pool, and basketball and tennis courts
Sports fields are located nearby
Short walk to several campus computer labs
The Bookstore, Memorial Union, and Quad are a short walk or bike ride away
Closest of the three residence hall areas to most plant science, enology, math, psychology and social science and humanities buildings
Several acres of manicured lawns and shade trees
Very close proximity to community shopping</p>
<p>Advantages of the Tercero Area</p>
<p>Close to engineering, chemistry, physics, biology and avian science facilities
Short walk to several campus computer labs
Close proximity to central campus, including the Shields Library
Adjacent to the Arboretums many trails, plants, birds and waterways
The Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) and the Recreation pool are a short bike ride away
The Silo and its dining options, including the Silo Pub, are two blocks away</p>
<p>Advantages of the Cuarto Area</p>
<p>On site swimming pools and spas
The only secure (fenced and gated) bike parking lot in the residence halls is located at Thoreau Hall
Two dining commons buildings
Two computer center locations
Private, outdoor courtyards
Off-campus location may help manage stress by creating a bit of separation between going to class and being at home rather than living next door to classes
Close proximity to campus, and even closer proximity to community shopping
The Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) and the Recreation Pool are a short bike ride away"</p>
<p>So which are you deciding to choose?
I’m edging towards Tercero, but I hear it “smells like cow” or Segundo North
And for current UC Davis students, feel free to add in your 2 cents~</p>
