Selected individuals admissions already?

Now, this is based completely by word of mouth, but certain people should supposedly already know whether or not they were accepted.

Last year, a student from my HS got accepted around this time of the year, and apparently certain individuals from other schools right now have already been accepted.

Obviously, this isn't something you can check online since it's not available. It's all via snail-mail.

Just wondering if anybody else knows anything.

Engineer acceptances are given around now

is that true about the engineering?

anyone invited to apply for a Regent's scholarship is IN!

Many athletes already know they're in. I have a crew team coxswain friend who was recruited and the coach called her telling her resume had cleared the admissions board, and all she had to do was actually apply. This was in late september.

What are the qualifications of a Regent's scholarship?

Or rather, what type of stats? 4.0~ + 1450~+ (MV)?

Actually, I believe I remember reading somewhere on the UCLA site that explicitly stated that a regents invitation DOES NOT guarantee admission. Weird, yes, I know; I would say it's more like 99% likely. And didn't someone post on here last year about getting the invite for regents and then getting rejected from the undergraduate school come March?

i'd also think regents is 99% in since the admissions officers SELECTED them to apply and know that they are the top 1.5% of all applicants.

the ~0.5% who are denied are likely applying to an impacted major, such as engineering.....there is only so much room in the Inn.

^ ahahah points to self It would suck if I got rejected because I'd applied to an impacted major, since I decided the day after sending it in that I didn't want to do that major anymore and want to move to letters of A&S if I get in.

What impacted major did you apply under?
