I’m an international student how got selected to Purdue and Drexel for BS. Computer Science.
Since I’m not rich enough to afford all 4 years at Purdue, I have to rely on loans. But with Drexel’s 38,000$ financial aid and their co-op program, I can afford Drexel. But, I can’t deny the reputation of Purdue and the quality of their CS program. Should I take the risk of applying to loans and going to Purdue, or should I take the easy route by going to Drexel? Any help will be much appreciated.
For CS, Drexel may offer a stronger program than Purdue.
Hey Merc81, at the risk of sounding pesky, what makes you say that? I’m unfamiliar with Drexel CS?
OP - congrats on the awesome choices! Fwiw, you shouldn’t consider this in a vaccum. What will be terms of the loan (interest, total principal)? Do you want to be an engineer or academic (salary post program)? What are the chances you graduate in 3 or 5 years (risk)?
You’re asking an economic question so I’d treat it as such!
