<p>You submit FA information to all the schools you applied to in order to get a FA package to help in evaluating which school you want to attend. Sending FA info after you get a decision would be too late.</p>
<p>You’ll have a better chance of being accepted, if you spell it deferred. 
But yes, you should file FAFSA as close to Jan 1, as you can.</p>
