Selecting courses

So has anyone looked through the course selection book or anything? I found the link for it on the istart webpage and the one for Engineering is reallly long and I'm not sure if I want to read it. Do you actually have to read all this stuff and find out what courses you want to take before Summer Registration?

Not really. If you are an an engineer your 1st yr classes shouldnt be that different from other people in your major and hence following the recommended/typical schedule given for a 1st yr student should be enough. You might wanna understand how the general education requirement works though since you can get around taking less classes and hence adding additional elective hours if you plan that carefully.

Oh ok. Thanks. I was also wondering if taking a language is required.

For engineers i m almost positive u need 2 yrs of foriegn language which is automatically completed if u took a foreign language in high school.
