Selecting courses

I am at UMass Dartmouth now but I intend on transferring after my freshman year. I just selected courses accordingly to the UMass requirements. I am starting to regret this though, would it be better to look up the requirements of the school I wish to transfer to and pick my schedule based on that?

And in order to do this I would have to take sophmore courses (micro/macro econ) is there a problem with me taking those courses? are they only for sophmores?

Thanks

*I am hoping to transfer to Northeastern

Micro and Macro are freshmen classes here at northeastern… IF you’re a business major.
You should go to northeastern’s website or call the admissions office and ask them what classes they require because northeastern has core classes such as expository writing, natural sciences, etc.

Look at what the school you want to transfer to requires for students in the first year of that particular major. If you align your courses with the courses in that school’s sequence, you should be fine.

Thanks for the response, yes I e-mailed admissions.

What exactly are the core classes you have to take? If you could post that it would be really helpful.

Thanks again.

well i’m a business major and the core classes in freshmen year are micro/macro econ, expository writing, calculus for business, almost any science course, introduction to business, financial accounting, international business and global responsbibility, business statistics. some of these classes, you are allowed up until spring semester of sophomor year to finish. hope this helps.

I’ve taken -

Intro to Econ
Philosophy
Environmental Chemistry
English 101
The Business Organization

Next Semester -

Calculus
Micro Econ
Macro Econ
World History
English 102

Hope I’m on the right track, I’ll post the email Northeastern sends back to me.
Thanks.
