I got into BU, UCSB, UCI, and SJSU so far. I’m on the waitlist for Georgia Tech, UIUC, and UCSD. I’m awaiting results for UCB, USC, and CMU, but I highly doubt any of these will pull through, so thats why I’m making this thread now.
BU -> Engineering (financial package -> 40k grant, 10k loans)
(eligible for calgrant)
UCSB -> Comp Sci (not sure of total cost yet)
UCI -> Comp Sci and Engineering (not sure of total cost yet)
SJSU -> Comp Sci (not sure of total cost yet)
Which one should I choose and why?
It will be hard for us to advise you before we know the total cost of each of them. Are you in-state for California?
Also, can you tell us a little more about what you want? Were you more interested in Comp Sci or Engineering as a major? What locations do you prefer?
No matter what, BU will probably be the way to go. Unless you’re in-state for CA, the costs for those places will be hefty.
I’m in instate in California. I’m interested more in Computer Science and location isnt a factor in my decision, only academics/job prospects/research/etc.
Well, wait until you hear back from the other schools before making a decision or narrowing further.
