selecting school

hi
i got some more question....i am vacillated between applying to school of science and art and school of commence. I used to think that i am interested in science but just found out that i may prefer business more. Since i have to write an essay on the school i choose, i think i will have more things to write about commence (ebay) than about sciences (only the AP course). i am trying to ask how the decision of the school affects the course you will take in freshmen and sophmore year? Can you take any courses in the first two years or are you restricted to courses related to that school you chosen? DO you start your major in the third year? And if i want to major in Acturarial, what school should i choose?
thanks

Most of the kids are undecided, you can't apply to COMM til second year. you can take any course in the college that you want to your first two yaers if you're going COMM. You can mention interests in COMM in your essays it doesn;t affect what courses you want to take.

dont worry itys ok to be undecided

Sounds like you'll be applying to CLAS, just because you can't apply to the Comm school until second year (you go from CLAS to Comm). During your first two years in CLAS, you can take pre-comm requirements, and plenty of other classes. So you have time to decide what major you want to do. Either way, if you want to do Comm or not, you need to apply to CLAS your first year.

does "COMM" means commerce? and what is "CLAS"? so, even if you choose to write about School of commerce in the essay, it doesn't mean that you are in it until junior year?

i just notice that first-year applicant can only choose among science and art, engineering, architecture and nursing. i will probably choose science and art. still, how does choosing school of art and science affect your first two years? do you automatically enter into school of art and sciences during the junior year?

How do you enter something you've already entered? Hmmm...I'm going to go with yes.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking.
If you enter the College (CLAS: College of Liberal Arts and Science), it affects your first 2 years by you studying in the College. You study in the school you enter. If you choose to apply to Comm (Commerce), then you apply in your second year. After applying, if accepted, then you study in the School of Commerce for your third (Junior) year.
