selective business/science schools

i'm interested in science (esp. bio) and engineering, but i also want a school with a strong business program (but not necessarily a business major). the problem is, many selective schools don't have business--they just have economics. suggestions would be nice. new england or new york would be preferable, and i dont want to go to a LAC. Thanks in advance.

upenn has wharton and a med school and a graduate school on campus. the med school is actually closer than some undergraduate classrooms. there's also a grad school on campus and lots of labs. upenn also has a lot of inderdisciplinary majors, and there's a science/business one.

massachusetts institute of technology (you can take the business classes there or cross register for them at Harvard)

Here's 5 choices for you.

Carnegie Mellon University (Tepper)
Cornell University
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan)
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (Ross)
University of Pennsylvania (Wharton)

If you are willing to look further West, check out UC-Berkeley (Haas) and USC (Marshall).

you cant apply to ross as an incoming freshman. you can however apply for preferred admission.

Penn would be a great school for your interests. Most students take classes in all of the schools (College of Arts and Sciences, Wharton, Engineering, and Nursing) and many take some in the graduate schools as well. There are also a lot of dual degree opportunites between the schools if you are interested in cross-school subjects. There are some formal dual degree programs, but a lot of students make their own dual degree plan in subjects of their choice in order to explore all of their interests.

Why not just major in Econ? It's more interesting than business...

I agree with Drew. Econ is more intellectually stimulating and as the OP has observed, most top universities do not offer Business to undergrads.
