<p>One is a family memeber, who told us the story of when he had to push a child out of a helicopter, and he was forever scarred. Similar stories I have heard from several other men. They told me that the horrors of war were the most horrible experiences of their lives, and should not be imposed on anyone, and the memories haunt them to this day. Some have had some severe emotional problems and have had to get therapy. In some cases, the wives attest to how the person was completely changed (and NOT for the better!) after coming home, to the point the the marriage could not be saved. Then there is a former co-worker who told me stories about how her husband was REALLY MESSED UP after he got back from Vietnam, as in, crazy and highly unstable. More recently, a good friend just divorced her husband for the same reason after he came home from Iraq completely messed up.</p>
<p>You are glamorizing war. Sure, they learn some discipline while in the military. But at what cost? It is insane to say that war is anything but ugly.</p>
