selectivity: jhu vs. tufts

the title is sufficient

any input is greatly appreciated.

I got into both schools and most of the people at Tufts I know who applied to Johns Hopkins did as well. I believe (and this is just in my own experience) that JHU, Tufts, Georgetown, Northwestern, Cornell, and Penn vie for just about the same students and most who apply to all five get into at least three or four. Would anyone else agree?

lol, i got rejected from Cornell, Penn ED (after deferral) and G-town SFS, so I guess I'm not a good example. Then again I sound the death knell by being white and from NJ :-P

But I can name a ton of people who were choosing between Tufts and Cornell, Tufts and Hopkins, Tufts and Gtown, Tufts and NW, and Tufts and Penn.

I think Tufts still edged out JHU this year as far as admission rates, but frankly the difference is negligible.
