Selectivity of CALS Animal Sciences?

Hi, my friend (currently a junior) is interested in applying as an animal science major @ Cornell for pre-vet next year. How selective is this major? He’s aware that different majors are tougher than others (ex. AEM has the lowest acceptance rate). This won’t affect his choice, he’s dead-set on being a veterinarian; he’s just curious.

Here’s just a really quick run down:
GPA: 4.0
Rank: N/A
ACT: 1st and 2nd time - 28
3rd time - 30
Location: NY
Ethnicity: Caucasian
ECs: band (flute), red cross, environmental, key club, bunch of honor societies, 2 board positions
Community service: Volunteers at an animal shelter (>100 hours)

Thank you!
