when researching schools last summer/fall, PC's selectivity rating was about 40%. It's now listed as 60%. Seems like a big jump for one year, although I noticed they are also having a pretty significant tuition increase for the incoming freshman in fall 2010. Would they accept a highter percentage thinking more would decline d/t higher tuition? Possibly had a hard time filling their class last year? Just wondering what would account for such a big one year increase. Thoughts??

This happens during mid-acceptance season for colleges and universities. They most likely accept more students during ED and EA season than RD, so they legally have to change their public acceptance rate. When the admissions season is over, the percentage will be back aroing 45. But, I’m sure the EXTREMELY HIGH tuition (erghh) is another component.
