Self Report AP Scores

I submitted my common app for 5 schools (early action) earlier tonight. About 2 minutes ago, I stumbled upon a CC discussion about self reporting AP scores. I didn’t even realize that was an option!! :(( I earned three 5’s and one 4 and I’m taking five more tests this spring, so I’d really like them to be included on the application. So,
If I update the self-reported score section now, will schools I’ve already applied to get the update? (I’m assuming not)
If not, how should I go about reporting my scores to them? basically, will an email suffice? or can I still work through the common app system somehow?

please help. i’m slightly freaking out here

Those are excellent AP scores, and worth reporting. I would call admissions (perhaps email would work) at the EA colleges and ask how you can go about doing that.

Does your high school put AP scores on your transcript? Some do (our HS does). Find out from the guidance office. If not contact admissions offices and see if you can either self report with an "update"or if you missed that chance and should send an official report.

How can you miss the score self-reporting part in Common App? It is not only for AP scores.

No, colleges won’t see any updates you make to the Common App after you send it. You could try emailing the college directly if you want.

@lr4550 No, unfortunately not. I wish they did, that would really simplify things right now!

Thank you @fogcity ! And @gearsstudio – I’m emailing them all tonight. Hopefully they can still add it to my application file!

Oh, and @billcsho – I made a really stupid mistake. When I originally looked at the self reporting section, I entered my scores for the SAT, SAT II’s, and ACT. It was the first info that I put in this summer, so I haven’t really gone back to the editing stage to check it since then. I was being super-cautious with filling out the app since it’s my family’s first time through things. I think the wording “AP Subject Tests” might have threw me off a little, for whatever reason :expressionless:
