I applied to MIT EA, and when I filled out the self-reported coursework, I only included the courses I was taking during fall quarter (because it stated above to include courses you have taken or are currently taking). However, upon second thought, were we also supposed to include winter and spring courses as well?

bump..........

yep you're supposed to include all courses you are taking this year.

not a big deal though, your transcript will fill in the blanks

my son only reported the fall courses. Many people are not sure what they will be taking spring semester when the apply ED. The mid-year report will bring it up to date.

do we have to include courses like PE or health education?

no - i didn't even include most of my electives.

Actually..my transcript wouldn't cover in for the blanks...at the time, I hadn't yet enrolled in my winter courses at the local college (Now, however, I am enrolled.)

Just wondering, did anyone else just report fall college courses?

thermodude - the list of your spring courses will be on the mid-year report along with your fall grades. What exactly is your concern? Are you simply wanting to make sure you fill out the forms the MIT is expecting them? Or is there a course you plan to take spring semester that you really want them to know about? If it's the latter, you could fill it in on your self reported list, but be sure to include something like "planned" or "spring" so they know you have not actually started it yet.

Well, I already sent in my app. for EA, but I'm currently taking Multivariate, and might take Diff. Equ. during Spring (if I can fit it into my schedule.) I was just thinking that these courses might give me a tiny boost in admissions, and I was worried that the decision may have already been made before my Mid-year grade report reached MIT (My high school semester grades won't be official until around February, and my conselor will probably be swamped with sending these grade reports...so it may take a while).

Aah, I see. I agree with you that you want MIT to know that you are taking multi-variable and linear algebra this year. If the mid-year report won't accomplish that, you should probably send some sort of addendem like you would if you won some sort of award.

Wait, we were supposed to suuply every course we had ever taken in HS correct? That's why it had the option of whether u took it 9th, 10th, etc. You guys are makin it sound like we were only supposed to include this year's coursework.

every course in high school, yes. We are specifically discussing senior year courses because that is the part that is incomplete on an EA/ED app.
