Self-Reported Grade

Obviously this is the wrong thing to do, but I was just wondering how colleges that require you to self-report your grades know whether or not you are lying about them

Usually colleges that require you to self-report your grades use the honor system. But they do REQUIRE your official transcript at the end of the year. If what you reported does not match what the transcript says, then your admission decision can be rescinded.

For started, the colleges will require your transcript.

After you are admitted and matriculate, you will send your transcripts, which will be used to verify the self-reported grades and in-progress course work. If they do not match (or they show poor results from your in-progress course work), your admission will be rescinded.

Colleges are not stupid. Lol! They get the transcript later.

If it does not match the official transcript or score report, they can simply rescind you.
