Hello, first time poster, just need some quick help. I'm not worried about deadlines so yea just a few questions...

How much consideration is taken in the self-reporting section of Common App?
I've took my first SAT last month and got an under average score and now I'm at a conundrum with the reporting section of the Common App because I've registered to take the SAT next month in December too

I was wondering if I should report 0 SAT scores, because my scores were bad, and report that I have 1 future sitting for the SAT, because I will definitely do better in my next SAT, and my colleges will super-score. Or would it be suspicious to not report my first SAT scores?

Or...

If I should report my bad SAT scores, (480 Reading, 580 Math) and report 1 future sitting. My problem with this option is that the colleges would see my bad SAT scores. Also they wouldn't see my December SAT score, UNTIL I send in my official score report NEXT MONTH.

Sorry for my organization and wording :(
Thanks in advance!!! :)

Edit: Forgot to include suggested SAT scores by the college Im applying to
Avg. SAT (r&m combined) :1080-1200
Avg. SAT reading : 520
Avg. SAT Math : 580

As you can see I mostly wanna increase my reading score

Check the school(s) you’re applying to website. If they say you must report all scores, then you must report them all, however if they do not mention it or say you are free to choose what scores you want to show then pick your best SAT to report.

I appreciate the quick reply, I understand that.

The colleges I’m applying all accept score choice/superscore.

But the problem is that I want to submit my application before December, so I only have one SAT Score to work with for my Common App… And I was wondering if self-reporting in November will have an impact on the official SAT scores I will send in December with my new results. For example if I have higher scores in my December SAT, the official score report will superscore my SAT scores from my October SAT and December SAT, and it wont show my October SAT scores… BUT I already would have already had self-reported my October score in my November Common App…they would see my self-reported October scores on Common App, but they wouldnt see them on my Official score report, which would void the purpose of Score Choice cuz they would see my October scores on Common App

I think I had repeated things in there, sorry

Are these rolling admission colleges? If they are then yes you want to send your application as soon as possible. Otherwise it doesn’t really matter when you send your application, but I should mention that you have the option of putting the test date instead of the test scores if you have yet to taken a test(which is what I did for my subject test).

Yes Rolling Admission.
Should I really send my application with bad SAT scores, rather than wait one month for possible better SAT scores?

Avg. SAT (r&m combined) :1080-1200
Avg. SAT reading : 520
Avg. SAT Math : 580

I have 1060 combined, 480 reading and 580 math

I can increase these scores in the next month’s SAT, but that would mean I would be put at the end of the application queue for my college, because its rolling admission

If your grades/recommendations/essays are good then I say go for it assuming that you aren’t too much below the 25th percentile of scores for the school.
