Hi!
I have a question about self-reporting scores. I am almost done with all my applications (I started pretty early) and intend to submit them before the end of September (I still have to deal with recommendation letters). I However, I will only get my standadized test scores around mid-October so my question is: Can I sumbit my applications (given I finish them before getting the results) without self-reporting my scores? Or do I have to call each college to ask individually ?
Of course, I will have official scores sent to each college.
Thanks for your help!
In my experience, most require you have to have at least one ( ACT or SAT) score officially sent along with the admit. app for them to start your file and begin the process. Self reporting scores such as your AP scores is okay as long as you follow up with official score reports. On some apps it allows for you to write in that you are taking a “future test date” and they can wait for that, providing it is SAT subject tests that are optional but recommended. Now, if you haven’t taken the SAT or ACT then they can wait, but may not start your admit process until those scores get there. Each college you are applying to may have their preference online on there website.
You can send the scores separately, but unitl they have all they require, our app won’t be looked at. I would wait an send it all. There isn’t any advantge to applying early, (not as in ED or EA.)
