Self-Reporting Test Scores

To stay away from any possible trouble, is there anything negative about selecting no to 'do you wish to self-report scores or future test dates for any of the following standardized tests...?' I'm specifically referring to higher end schools and Ivies. Will I be looked at differently if I choose to not self-report and just send in the official reports?

Sending in the official report is useless, because it goes directly to the university registrar and never even reaches the admissions committee. You should have self-reported them.

Ambitious19, I have not applied anywhere yet. How do the test scores not reach the admission committee when they need them in order to consider you for admission? If I apply to Princeton and send them my official reports, they are obviously going to get them and look at them in order to consider me.

Ambitious19 is talking about AP scores I believe.

@dennisxm Sorry! I was under the impression you were referring to AP scores. In that case, you don’t need to worry about self-reporting SAT scores, as long as you send in the SAT score report on time!
