I have taken the ACT twice, and my composite for both are the same. The subscores are not, however, and my writing score for my second ACT (September 2015) is significantly lower than my composite, so I am not sending them into schools that allow Score Choice. Would you suggest not self-reporting my test scores since I have to send in all scores to some of my schools while only sending in my first ACT to other schools? By the way, I am self-reporting all my AP scores. I am also considering self-reporting my SAT score, because I took the test once and I received a fairly high score. I am sending my SAT1 and all my SAT2 scores. I am only using score choice for my ACT scores.
I am also wondering how colleges will receive self-reporting my SAT1, 2, and AP scores, and not self-reporting my ACT score and just sending an official score report.
Self reporting your SAT 1/2, ACT, and AP scores is entirely voluntary. List all, some, or none. Note that colleges will require your official score report for SAT 1/2 and/or ACT, so any self-reported scores without the official score report will not be factored into the admissions decision.
I am aware that self-reporting is voluntary, but I was wondering how I may be perceived by admission officers at schools that I am using score choice for if I self-reported all my ACT scores even if I am not sending in my second test.
While you have slaved hours upon hours on your applications, they will spend 12-15 minutes total reading it. If they even look at the self reported section, it will be for a nanosecond; they’ll look for the official score reports and they will certainly not waste precious time cross referencing. it’s a non-issue.
