self-reporting vs sending scores directly from collegeboard?

Hello! Emory’s website states this regarding SAT scores:

"Applicants may submit either self-reported or officially-reported standardized test scores. The Writing portion of either test is not required to apply.

If paying to send official test scores poses a financial barrier for you or your family, we accept self-reported test scores for the SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and IELTS. This is consistent with Emory University’s commitment to access and affordability for all students."

However, if sending a score report doesn’t pose a “financial barrier,” but I’d rather save that money, would self-reporting scores be alright, or could that be seen as unfavorable in any way?

If being to poor to send doesn’t apply to you then it dorsnt apply to you.

It does not make a difference in terms of your chance of getting in. More and More universities are taking this approach to lessen the financial burdens of their applicants.

If you are admitted, you are required to submit the official scores. If it is different from what you reported. They will rescind the acceptance offer.
