Self-score reporting for the UC

The application says:
"For the SAT Subject Tests, report all exams you have taken. (UC will use your highest scores from two separate subject areas.) You may report up to three planned SAT Subject Tests."

but my friends have only reported two SAT subject scores and left others out. Is this OK? They have said that they reported only two because the UCs will get the rest of the scores anyways.

No... you report ALL exams. Yes, they'll eventually get the scores when you decide to enroll, but they want you to self-report all of them.

For UC you also need to ask College Board to send your SAT score to each individual UC that you apply and they need that by the time the Dec. SAT scores are available to them.

You need to send your SAT scores before the deadline(Nov 30). For SAT test that you have not taken, you should list in the application and send when you take them. I don't think they will penalize you anyway. Not sure the application states that. DD reported all her highest scores in 4 subject tests. They'll receive the rest of her scores anyway. Besides they will let you update them later on if that is a problem.
