self study and other questions

i got soooooooooo many questions about all this stuff

self study: how do you register for an AP test if self studying? what classes do u recommend for self study? i'm a pretty independent worker and can more or less stick to a schedule so i dont think studying w/o a teacher will be a problem

next question: SAT II's: when, why, where, and how do you take/sign up for them?

question 3: know any colleges that do a combined BA/MD program?

4: what AP classes are worthwhile to take in high school for someone like me who wants to go into premed in college? (other than the obvious AP bio, AP chem)

5: when exactly would u recommend taking the SAT I & SAT II's, and what about the ACT?

6: does PSAT scores reflect chances of success on the SAT? this year as a sophmore in high school, our school district paid for all 10th and 11th graders to take the PSAT. i scored a 221 (w/no PSAT/SAT prep classes except what i do at home when i have the time) someone told me that by adding a zero to the end of the score it reflects what SAT I score i could have got.

7: how hard is the WHAP (world his AP) exam? the AP human geo exam?

8: i'm doing ok in precal honors right now, so should i take AB or BC Calc?

thanks so much to whoever takes the time to read this

self study: how do you register for an AP test if self studying?
Talk to the AP coordinator at your school. Do it as soon as possible, because there's a certain time every school orders AP tests, and you dont want to be late. If they refuse, you can try another school.

what classes do u recommend for self study?
Whatever you're interested in.

i'm a pretty independent worker and can more or less stick to a schedule so i dont think studying w/o a teacher will be a problem
Good

next question: SAT II's: when
*Ideally, it should be after you take a course in school on that subject so it's fresh in your memory. Colleges usually want them taken by the same date as they want the SAT I taken by. *

why
Because some colleges requires them

where, and how do you take/sign up for them?
Depending on where you live, you sign up for them on collegeboard.com, just like the SAT I

question 3: know any colleges that do a combined BA/MD program?
Nope

4: what AP classes are worthwhile to take in high school for someone like me who wants to go into premed in college? (other than the obvious AP bio, AP chem)
Those are definitely the main ones, but you might want to consider calculus, or physics. I cant think of anything else though

5: when exactly would u recommend taking the SAT I & SAT II's, and what about the ACT?
Don't know anything about the ACT, but like I said SAT II's are best taken after the course, and SAT I whenever you want I guess. Maybe summer is better for that?

6: does PSAT scores reflect chances of success on the SAT? this year as a sophmore in high school, our school district paid for all 10th and 11th graders to take the PSAT. i scored a 221 (w/no PSAT/SAT prep classes except what i do at home when i have the time) someone told me that by adding a zero to the end of the score it reflects what SAT I score i could have got.
It's probably not a very precise indicator, but it should be around that score. If you got a 221, then you'll do great on the SAT. Just take a few practice tests before and do your best. Don't stress on that if you're already scoring that high

7: how hard is the WHAP (world his AP) exam? the AP human geo exam?
Dunno

8: i'm doing ok in precal honors right now, so should i take AB or BC Calc?
If you like math, BC, if you just want to get through it, AB.

thanks so much to whoever takes the time to read this
You're welcome. Thanks for helping me procrastinate.

Theres a whole section of this forum just for BA/MD programs. Just go over there and start reading everything until you find the answer to whatever questions you may have about them.
