self study AP bio or bio subject test

So I have two options and I'd like your help to choose which one (:
So here's the situation:
I wanted to take the biology subject test because I would like to take 2.
I don't really have a subject test that I could take because of my lack of AP classes so I figured the bio one was the easiest to self study.
I have taken honors biology last year

But I got to thinking..and this is where my two options come into play
should i...
1.) just study for the biology subject test until June (using the review books and possibly textbooks or notes I find for AP bio online)

or

2.) try to self study for the AP biology test (idk how hard that is which is why im asking you guys) and since i'm studying for the AP bio test, it should at the same time be preparing me for the subject test. so i take both the AP test and the subject test.

which one do you think I should do?
thinking about the difficulty of the task and which option you think I would be most successful in.

I'd prefer like atleast a 4 on the AP bio test and a 700+ on a subject.

Thanks!

AP Bio is not that hard. It’s mostly honors bio + some extra details and some new concepts. You don’t need AP Bio to do well on the subject test. But if you self study AP Bio, you can kill two birds with one stone. You’ll possibly get college credits and satisfy college app requirements. I think you should self study AP Bio. However, just know that there’s a lot of reading involved. I suggest getting the Campbell textbook. Oh and don’t forget to study the labs (though, some of them are probably the same as honors bio). If you need any more help, this forum contains a vast amount of resources for self studying. Good luck!
