I’m a current freshman and hope to self-study and take the AP Bio test next year. I would take the class if I could, but I have scheduling conflicts next year and have other plans for junior+senior year. I’m currently taking honors bio (I’m not doing really well I only have a 94 right now), but the teachers are sort of nudging us in the direction of AP Bio. The class is supposed to prepare us for sat 2 bio, but it often goes more in depth to the level of AP Bio. Is it a bad idea to self-study for it? Any advice on how to study efficiently?
I’ve heard Princeton & Barron’s (especially Barron’s) are the best prep materials…You can check the college board website for an outline of the topics, practice questions, etc. The more realistic practice the better. You can also meet up with AP Bio teachers in your school and ask them throughout the year for help if you need it and they’ll most likely be glad to help you. Good luck.
thanks for the input
I would find out if self-studying AP Bio would be at all useful…It is a lab class…how will you do labs?
Check with a college of your choice that doing this woudl give you credit.
