i'm planning to self study for AP Calculus (AB or BC) and AP Computer Science (A or AB) for next may.

I've got the Peterson (used to be called Arco) and Princeton Review for AP Calculus and a stewart 5e version of Calculus text book.
Will that be enough for me to self study (assuming I don't know the topics of calculus, but can learn pretty fast)?
I'm thinking about deciding whether to take AB or BC next spring, depending on how well I feel I am prepared.

For AP Computer science, I basically have barely any previous experience in java. I bought the AP COmputer Science book from Barrons. Again, I plan to decide whether I'l take A or AB next spring depending on how well I feel I am prepared.

Do I need more materials to self study for these two subjects? If so, what else do I need? especially for computer sci, since I only have a prep book, should I try to get a text book or something?

for comp sci just make sure you study the master program that they use(when i took it, it was like the ocean fish ecosystem).. and for calculus, just study the calc review book.. and take ab.. cause bc is a ***** to self study.. i could never see my self self studying calc bc or ab for that matter.. i did bad on the calc ap test, since i didnt practice at all and ended up getting a 3.. make sure you understand everything for projectile motion to application integration with stupid rotational objects about axis'

so computer sci, basically it's enough with Barron's book?

hm...is self studying AP Chem sophomore year and getting an easy 5 a prodigy? If so, I'm willing to create one more....(basically i've learned all of precalc already, but my school doesn't let me skip......, so now my math class is extremely boring)

if you are halfway decent in java, and understand the concepts of classes, and all the headers and stuff you should be alright. I literally didn't know anything, aside from the code we had done in class(I didn't know conceptual), and I got a 4 without the use of any ap study books. The free response is even easier then the multiple choice, since they grade for specific things, and not if the program actually works. So when they told me to write a shark class for a sea ecosystem program or w/e, I copied down the piranha class from the book, and just changed variables. And if you actually know the stuff, you'll get a 5 haha.
