I'm very familiar with the concepts behind Calculus, as I understand it all, I just don't know it all.

Since I am self studying using Princeton Review, do you think PR is all I need to get a 5?

Since I am self studying using Princeton Review, do you think PR is all I need to get a 5?

If you have a good understanding of calculus and you study from the book, you should get a 4. You may get a 5 depending on how smart you are. If you have doubts about whether you can get a 5, study more using different books or perhaps tutoring. You may even be able to sign up for any online course. Why aren’t you taking the class at school?

Peterson’s is better in my opinion

The math curriculum in our school sucks.

It’s like 4 years of precalculus before Calculus, and because they screwed me over in middle school, I have to take all 4 years in high school… meaning no Calculus.

So I’m just going to self-study AB this year, and BC next year.

[Amazon.com: (Peterson’s Ap Calculus): Books](http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=+(Peterson’s+Ap+Calculus)&x=0&y=0)
Which one?

Also, why do you think Peterson’s is better? There seems to be a conception that PR is the best for AP Calc.

The smartest thing in your situation is to do a tons of previous AP free response questions from college board and compare your answers to their scoring guidelines.

i took a class last year so it was different for me, but I basically did all of the collegeboard free response(they were homework) and began to analyze patterns and made sure I knew how to do all sorts of problems. This along with practice tests and memorizing derivative and anti derivative formulas, I was able to get a score of 5.

Indianjatt, did you guys use any free response questions from before 2002? That’s all they have on college board.com (2002-present.)

I don’t think so. We actually used 2002- 2008 (only form A).

just use pr. pr is actually good for like every ap subjects

I highly recommend self-studying Calculus AB.
I did it as a freshman this year and took the AP exam and feel that I will get a 5.
Also, Princeton Review is ALL you need to get a 5.
That is all I did and was very successful with it.
