<p>Hi! I really want to self-study AP Chem this year, but I'm not sure what resources to use or how to go about starting. Also, I heard that the curriculum/exam are changing this year so I'm not really sure how to prepare. Do you think I should go ahead and self-study it, and can anyone recommend to me some resources for it? If I take it, I want to earn a 5. Thanks!</p>
<p>You can’t take it in school? You’d be missing lab and lab techniques. I didn’t have AP Chemistry at my school, but I self-studied it along with taking the chemistry class at my school so I got the lab experience too. I worked through the textbook “Chemistry: The Central Science” and found it immensely helpful.</p>
