Self Study AP+ IB Diploma?

<p>I'm in 9th grade, and I'm currently taking AP World History. I was thinking about self studying AP Psyc and Human Geo, because they interest me, but I can't take those until junior year. However, my school offers IB Diplomas, so I'm going to spend 11th and 12th year on that. I'm doing pretty well in APWH for my first AP ever, A- range hopefully I'll improved. Would it be a waste of my time to try and aim for AP when I'm already planning on doing IB? People say IB is harder then AP, so it would be good preparation...I think. </p>

<p>Wise people, give your opinion! And any tips for self studying if you think I should do it.</p>

AP World = dead end
AP Euro -> IB Euro
APUSH -> IB History of the Americas
AP Human Geo -> IB Geography</p>

<p>If you are going to self-study AP Human Geography, go for it :). Just make sure your school offers IB Geography, which isn’t very commonly offered.</p>
