Self Study AP Macro Econ?

Hello,
I am now a sophomore at a high school which does not offer either AP econ course, looking to see if i can do it myself. I have read previous forums on this, and I would like to hear from some who have done this themselves. If I study for Macro, should i go ahead and study/take micro as well? Any suggestions for resources? I have not yet taken any AP classes, although next year I plan to take APUSH, AP chem, and AP comp sci. I am very interested in economics, and am more educated in this area than the average student. Thanks

The first question is: why? are you are trying to accumulate credits towards university? Depending on where you go to university, there are many universities that limit the number of AP credits you can put towards graduation. If you are thinking to impress admissions committees, self studying to rack up APs doesn’t really do it.

No, i was just interested in economics, and figure I may as well get credited for it, even if I do not use those credits
