Has anyone here selfed AP Psych using Crash Course and nothing else? How well did you do on the exam? Should I go for Barrons or Crash Course?

AP Psychology can be compared to a vocabulary test. I suggest using both, if you have the time. However, I studied about a month before (April) while solely using Barron’s. The test wasn’t difficult at all and I felt that it really prepared me. All you’ll need is Barron’s.

bump? Anyone else?

Barron’s since I used it.
BUTTTT, my friend used solely crash course in 1 day and probably 5’d. Depends on the person.

So is Barrons more detailed than Crash Course?

Also - If I do get Barrons, does the year/edition really matter? I’ve found a 2007-2008 one that’s available for a reasonable price; are there many changes every time a new edition comes out?

bump! Please answer my question? I need to decide what edition I will be getting

The editions are pretty much the same. I can vouch for CC; it’s all you need. Barrons is more detailed, but I’m not sure how useful the extra details are.

Definitely doable. Really, anything will work. I read my sister’s outdated prep book for a while just for fun, took a practice test, and got a high 5, without even trying.

I self-studied Psych using 5 Steps to a 5 book and Barron’s flashcards.

@iluvpiano

is 5 steps (without Barron’s flashcards) enough? Sorry I am also deciding on wether or not to get 5 steps.

Or is Crash Course better

5 Steps would probably be enough…I used that and then went through the Barron’s flashcards the last few hours before going to sleep, and Barron’s honestly only had a few new things on it. I mainly just used the 5 Steps book to review…although I had read through a textbook that a teacher let me borrow the summer before. Didn’t study notes from the textbook though…originally just used it as a starting thing/background to the course.

I don’t know about Crash Course…never used it, so I can’t really say whether that or 5ST5 is better.
