I'm thinking about self-studying AP Stat this semester, but I'm not sure if I should. And if I did, I'm not sure how I would go about it as far as time management.

First of all, I have a fairly heavy academic load with 6/7 of my classes being Honors/AP on top of debate and student council, so I don't know if putting aside the time for this is even worth it. Is it more worthwhile for me to maintain my GPA and work on those things rather than self-study? I really want to do this because I don't have any room to take the class in high school, so self-study may be a good option.

In addition, will just a semester even be enough time? I'm using "The Practice of Statistics" textbook and I will probably try to do a chapter or 2 a week until the weeks close to the exam, when I'll review. I'm planning on putting a lot of time in over winter break, but even with that it may not work out. Even though, math usually comes pretty easy to me, so the difficulty will not be an issue as long as the volume of material is not to much. From what I've heard from other classmates, it's not a very difficult class, but it will probably be harder when you are learning without a teacher.

Mainly, I just want to know:
1. Is this worth my time?
2. If I do this, how much time should I set aside each week to study in order to get a 4 or higher?
