How do you go about self-study? Can you take an AP exam even if your not enrolled in the AP class at your school? For example, there are several AP classes offered at my school that my schedule doesn't allow me to partake in. Can you sign up for AP Exams independent of your school, like how you normally do online for collegeboard? Would it be too difficult for me to take AP Chem although I haven't taken the AP Chem class, I've taken chemistry though. Sorry, a lot of questions rolled into one..Most importantly, how does the self-study process go about?

You can just sign up to take the AP tests through your school. That's what I'm doing (I just paid for 7 AP tests, 3 self study, last week).

that is a lot of money bah
Which ones are you self studying?

It's alright to let them know by March right? I'm not sure if I'll be really able to handle it yet so I want to wait as long as possible before paying.

that is a lot of money bah

I'm taking AP English Language, AP World History, AP Statistics, and AP Physics B with classes, and I'm self studying AP Human Geography, AP Psychology, and AP Comparative Government and Politics.

IS it all right to let them know by March? Same here, I'm not quite sure, but the deadline for payments at my school for my other AP courses are this Friday...I would also like to put off the payment... until I'm sure

I also wanted to wait, but my school told me that if I'm gonna take them I'd have to pay at the deadline with all my other tests.

I'd go in and ask the AP coordinator asap if I were you.

ohhh bollocks...I suppose I'll have to cough up the money. Ugh.

We don't have to buy ours until January/February..which is a good thing considering I haven't decided whether to self-study Euro in addition to Psych (and three other class-APs) or not.

Wow llpitch. I dont know about your other APs, but I'm sorry to tell you that you'll probably bomb AP Psych. It looks easy, but the material to be covered is absolutely EXHAUSTIVE.
AP English Language, AP World History, AP Statistics should be easy. The others I think you might be over-doing yourself (depends on what grade you're on. Presumably a senior?)
