What are the best prep books/online resources to self study Calc AB?

I actually took the class, I didn’t self study but I did a lot of studying on my own since my class was more geared to students taking calculus for college credit, rather than those taking the AP test, and a lot of the topics/question formats were different.

I used Princeton Review Prep Book, old free response questions on Explore AP, Khan Academy, and MIT OpenCourseWare. <<<<< In that order of helpfulness.

The best prep book I found was the Princeton Review book. It wasn’t as useful for the free responses but it sufficed. I would also try learning the advantages of your calculator in order to maximize your pacing on the test.
As for online resources, jamesrahn, patrickjmt, and khan academy are all great resources. Good luck self studying.

If you had no experience with calculus before, I’d recommend a textbook, not necessarily to read from (although it would be helpful), but mainly to keep you on the right track of what to learn (for the most part). If you don’t want to, then you can use various internet sources like the two ^^ above had already specified.
As for prep-books, I would recommend the Barrons book mainly for the practice problems in there. The problems will definitely prepare you for the exams by challenging you more than the actual exam itself. The Princeton review is (in my opinion) slightly easier, but it a great courage/confidence booster sometimes.

Thanks guys! I will have some calculus experience but I won’t specifically be taking a AP Calc course. I will probably try using Barrons or Princeton Review and Khan Academy.
