I'm planning on taking the AP US Government & Politics exam next school year (my junior year), and I'd like to know if it's possible to self-study for it. I follow politics closely and read a ton of books and daily on the Internet on politics/government/current events, so I think I have a lot of prior knowledge already. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Definitely manageable as a self-study. Get a good review book and you should be fine, especially with all of the extra information you read up on daily. I took a class for this exam that only lasted 3 months and I think I got a 4, if not a 5.

My daughter had no problem self-studying this one as a 15 yo sophomore. She scored a 4. She did study with a friend who was taking the class. Friend scored a 5.

It’s possible. I started out not knowing anything about US Government & Politics and I’m pretty sure I got a 5 for the exam.

Get Crash Course and PR.
