Hi I am wondering what you guys think. I have been taking an Online AP Chem course since Dec 20. I have been really working on it since Jan 1. I have no background in Chem this is my first Chem class. I have to take the AP Chem exam and I am not sure how to prep. How do you think I should prep for this I am beyond freaked. I am homeschooled so I have all the time in the world to study all suggestions are appreciated.

Why do you HAVE to take it? I would highly recommend against this, especially if you don’t have background in Chem. Everybody at my school hates AP Chem and there are only two A’s out of 40+ kids and it’s an advanced program.

But if you absolutely must take it, I would say the only way you can get a 5 is w/ a private tutor/teacher and lots of review. ( 5 Steps for a good condensed book and Barrons for more in-depth stuff).

That;s great! Well I can’t really say what you are capable of getting but the best method to check would be taking a diagnostic test and then curving the grade a little if you get at least half right, I say go for it. And study the sections you did most poorly on. Good luck!

Taking AP tests is good for home schooled students as it provides independent verification that the student actually learned a subject. However, I do agree with taking a practice test before taking the actual exam to ensure that you will actually do well.
